Murata (村田, Murata) was one of the male members belonging to Takashi's Group. He died however before much was revealed about him.

Murata has short black hair with bangs that lower to his eyebrows. He also wears the typical school uniform for males.

Exploration Party arc[]
Takashi Yamaguchi had gathered a group of people. Akira Sengoku explained to everyone that he plans to explore the area around the camp. The Exploration Party #1 was assembled.
Two days later the Exploration Party #1 returned with a wounded Akira. Murata sat inside Akira's tent. When Akira regained conscious everyone felt relieved.
Argentavis arc[]
Murata was there with a leave of fruits when a lot of people were trying to get Kanako Oomori's attention.
Later the group found out that an Argentavis arrived outside the camp and held Ryouichi Suzuki hostage. Murata was terrified when he saw the bird for the first time. The Argentavis flew toward the group and took off.
Back on the camp, Shirou Mariya suggested to form a group each. Murata was unseen pair up with either Shizuka Hatsuse or Ai Shioya.
Later that afternoon the Argentavis came with a flock. It rampaged the camp and the people were fleeing in all direction. The group was stunned when Akira annouced the Argentavises to come and get him. Murata, Kako Tsuji, Ken Tanaka, Airi Narumi and Shizuka watched helplessly as the Argentavises feast on Akira. Because of Akira's scarifice, Ken, Shinji Gotou, Tadashi Katou and Shuu Hikime led an counterattack. The rest of the group joined in and by before night the Argentavises left the camp.
The next morning Ken, Murata and Matsushita were found dead. Takashi and Yuki Sakuma examed their bodies but couldn't find the cause of their deaths.

His image was briefly seen during the flashback when Shirou recalls on his feeling at his friends' deaths each time.
